French Cooking & Wine Workshop

The French are world renowned for their fine food and wine. If you have always dreamed of being able to prepare delicious French meals, why not escape to the spectacular Alpine foothills to learn the art of French cooking in a fun, relaxed atmosphere? Learn to easily prepare delicious meals from local, organic products, Taste wines at the local vineyards and learn how to select wines to accompany your meals.

The Chef

Former owner of “Daniel’s Bistro” in Edinborough, Scotland. Daniel Wencker, an experience chef from France’s Alsace region will share his wealth of experience and passion for cooking with your in a relaxed atmosphere. Daniel speaks French, English and German fluently, so lessons can be given in any of these languages and tailored to individuals or groups.

Back to the Basics French Cooking

Learn to develop a menu and to make meals from scratch, selecting your fresh ingredients from local markets. Working “hand on” alongside Daniel, lessons will focus on the basic preparation of traditional French “bistro” meals that you will be able to recreate at home. Enjoy your meal as a group afterwards. Workshops are limited to 6 people so that everyone can participate.

Winetasting and Selection

The region hosts numerous local vineyards recognized worldwide for their “rosé” wines, but also produce a quality selection of fine whites and reds. Spend a day exploring the Provencal vineyards escorted in a comfortable chauffer driven minivan, so you can relax and enjoy tasting the wines

Other Activities

This workshop will be held at the edge of a regional natural park amidst natural unspoiled surroundings. And; with an average of over 300 days of sunshine a year, this is the perfect winter destination. Explore this beautiful region under the azure blue skies!

Discover the extensive network of hiking and biking trails, suitable for all levels, with spectacular panoramic views over the beautiful Esterel Mountain range and the Southern Alpine foothills. Or choose to visit Medieval hilltop villages, local museums or the nearby town of Grasse, the Capital of the Perfume industry.

Accommodations

Your accommodations will be a luxury villa located in or within easy walking distance to a charming Provencal village offering spectacular views over the surrounding mountains. Villas have all the comforts of home; a fully equipped kitchen, living room, spacious bedrooms dining areas, terrace for outdoor dining (weather permitting) and garden.
