The Canal du Midi, one of France's UNESCO World Heritage sites, begins (or ends, depending on which side you start) in Toulouse and ends on the Etang du Thau, an estuary on the Mediterranean Sea near Sete.

The quayside allows you acces to over 240 kilometers of cyclable paths that sometimes run over rivers, past aquaducts and alongside 65 unusual round locks each with their own personalities.

The ride is pleasant and quiet, giving you time to reflect as you ride and enjoy the views - here is one group's video who shared there experience with us in Azille over halfway along their journey.
