Despite we’re based in Andalusia and Catalonia, we organize culinary tours and activities throughout Spain (with accommodation and transportation included) and are able to provide assistance to travelers interested in any possible destination in Spain.

“We are a team of Spanish culinary professionals sharing a passion for the foods, wines and cuisines of Spain. In 1999 we founded A Taste of Spain, the first local boutique agency specialized in organizing private culinary tours and activities throughout Spain for international foodie travelers and food professionals. We work mainly for private small groups (starting from 2 people) and often on a custom-designed basis.

The possibilities are almost endless: cooking at a members-only Gastronomic Society in San Sebastian - tasting traditional and modern tapas in Madrid or Seville while enjoying the local atmosphere - exploring the Boqueria food market in Barcelona by the hand of our local expert chef followed by a Mediterranean cooking class at a private penthouse - visiting traditional wineries to learn about and taste Spain’s famed wines (Rioja, Sherry, Priorato...) - meeting Olive oil and/or Ibérico ham producers in Andalusia and Extremadura to learn from the people behind these extraordinary products - experiencing regional contrasts in a longer culinary tour through Spain...

We enjoy being challenged by our clients and putting together custom-designed culinary programs for them - we’ve organized programs around themes as diverse as food & art, the world of pastry, sustainable food & farming, avant-garde cooking...

Our goal is that our clients feel part of what they’re experiencing with us. In each activity that we plan we try to combine enjoyment with authenticity and an element of discovery/understanding of the local culture through food. The human factor is also key for us, we intend that clients view us as their local culinary expert and companion in Spain.

A Taste of Spain is recommended by National Geographic on "Food Journeys of a lifetime" as local tour operator providing expert knowledge in the Spanish culinary scene; and is a member of the IACP (International Association of Culinary Professionals) and Slow Food.”
