Paperclay is for a lot of ceramists a very new material. The most important advantages of paper clay,compared to normal clay,are:it is much lighter, easy to shape and much stronger after baking. Because of this there is a lot of freedom to shape the clay. You can work with a theme or make something of your own choice. If you work with a theme you can f.e. think about poetry. Paperclay is a very elastic mass, very bendable, hardly ever brakes or craccs and so easy to repair. Paperclay is also very suitable for raku firing, braking of the clay is rare. During the workshop you will also get a lot of information about the material, on paper and in word.
