Painting and Drawing with Bryan Angus DA (#154)
Bryan Angus DA - Tutor: Painting and Drawing
"Bryan - you have a real gift for encouragement! Your coaching and constructive criticism have made it a very valuable experience" Julie - 2008 Our traditional art college teaching style will support everyone from beginner to advanced. With individual tuition you will take your skills forward and have an opportunity to explore yourself as an artist. Bryan's supportive teaching, and knowledge of materials and techniques, will ensure you get a lot out of the week. This is a break suitable for anyone who wants to get away from it all and make some artwork in an excellent all-weather studio space in a stunning location. You’ll be shown new materials and techniques and guided through demonstrations by a working artist. You’ll also have time to explore the harbour, winding paths by the sea shore and cliff-top walks. Our guests have been complete beginners, people with some experience at evening classes, and people with a professional background and training - all have enjoyed the week in Gardenstown. As numbers are kept low, we can accommodate how you want to run the week, and to tackle what you want to tackle. If you are a complete beginner, we can give you projects to get you going, if you are experienced we can give you guidance on your own personal development as an artist. Bryan Angus DA Bryan trained at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen in Painting and Drawing. He has been variously a designer for theatre, a graphic designer and producer of many arts projects. His own work reflects a love of the basic skills in drawing, in observation and interpretation, as well as the search for meaningful symbols in subjective, exploratory work, influenced by his years in theatre. His work is currently in re-inventing his painting style. Some older work from the last 2 years can be seen viewed in the Gallery section on the navigation bar below, but new work will be along soon.
